Toxic Green Small Dome Fungia
The Toxic Green Small Dome Fungia is a vibrant LPS plate coral with intense green colouration and a distinctive domed shape. Its unusual appearance makes it an excellent feature coral for the lower areas of a reef aquarium, particularly when placed against a contrasting sandbed.
Unlike most stony corals, Fungia are solitary, free-living corals rather than permanently attached colonies. They can inflate their tissue and are even capable of slowly moving across the substrate, making them one of the more interesting LPS corals to keep.

Fungia should ideally be placed directly on the sandbed rather than rockwork, as falling from rocks can damage their fleshy tissue and skeleton. Allow approximately 10–15 cm of space from neighbouring corals.
Regular target feeding once or twice per week can help support healthy growth and condition. Maintain stable reef aquarium parameters, including appropriate calcium, alkalinity and magnesium levels.
With its brilliant fluorescent green colour and unusual free-living growth form, the Toxic Green Small Dome Fungia makes a fantastic addition to both established reef aquariums and developing LPS displays.
