Toxic Green Goniastrea
The Toxic Green Goniastrea is a striking LPS coral with intense fluorescent green colouration and the distinctive ridged structure associated with Goniastrea brain corals. Under quality reef lighting, its vivid green tones can really pop, making it an excellent choice for adding a bright splash of colour to your reef.
Goniastrea are hardy, attractive LPS corals that can develop into impressive colonies over time when provided with stable conditions. Their combination of colour, texture and relatively compact growth makes them well suited to a wide range of reef aquariums.

Provide the Toxic Green Goniastrea with moderate lighting and gentle to moderate water movement. Avoid strong direct flow that may prevent the coral's fleshy tissue from fully extending.
Goniastrea can extend sweeper tentacles after lights out, so leave adequate space between the colony and neighbouring corals to prevent stinging.
Although primarily photosynthetic, occasional target feeding with suitable coral foods or finely chopped meaty foods can support healthy growth and condition.
As with other LPS corals, stable alkalinity, calcium and magnesium levels alongside consistent water quality will provide the best conditions for long-term growth.
