Seachem MultiTest Iodine & Iodide is a highly sensitive aquarium test kit designed to measure iodine and iodide levels in both freshwater and marine aquariums. It is especially useful in reef systems, where maintaining appropriate iodide levels can be important for monitoring trace element supplementation and overall water chemistry.
The kit measures 0–0.10 mg/L and can detect changes as small as approximately 0.0025–0.005 mg/L, making it well suited to precise reef aquarium testing. It also includes a reference sample so you can check that the test is performing correctly.

Why Test Iodine & Iodide?
Natural seawater contains around 0.06 mg/L iodide, and Seachem recommends maintaining levels close to this range rather than allowing them to rise excessively. Because iodide can be depleted relatively quickly in reef systems, regular testing helps you avoid both underdosing and unnecessary supplementation.
