Aquarium Placement
Reverse Frogspawn performs best with moderate lighting and gentle, indirect water movement.
Aim for enough flow to keep the polyps softly swaying without pushing them aggressively in one direction. Strong direct flow can irritate the fleshy tissue and prevent the coral from fully extending.
Lower-to-middle placement is generally ideal depending on the intensity of your reef lighting.
Feeding
Frogspawn receives most of its energy through photosynthesis but can benefit from occasional supplemental feeding.
Suitable foods include:
- Mysis shrimp
- LPS coral pellets
- Finely chopped marine foods
- Dedicated coral foods
Target feeding once or twice per week can help support healthy tissue and continued growth.
Give It Plenty of Space
Reverse Frogspawn can extend sweeper tentacles capable of stinging neighbouring corals, particularly after lights out.
Leave several inches of clearance around the coral and take future growth into account when choosing its position.
