Rainbow Acan Lord

Now scientifically classified as Micromussa lordhowensis, this species is still widely known throughout the aquarium hobby as the Acan Lord. Although the Rainbow Acan Lord receives much of its energy through photosynthesis, supplemental feeding can encourage healthy growth and fuller polyps.
Suitable foods include:
- Mysis shrimp
- Small LPS coral pellets
- Finely chopped marine foods
- Enriched brine shrimp
- Other appropriately sized meaty coral foods
Feed small amounts when the coral's feeding tentacles are extended.
Placement & Compatibility
Position your Rainbow Acan Lord on the sandbed or lower sections of the rockwork, away from intense lighting and strong direct flow. Gentle water movement should be enough to prevent debris settling without causing the fleshy polyps to remain retracted.
Acan Lords can extend short sweeper tentacles, so allow several centimetres of space between the colony and neighbouring corals.
Maintain stable reef aquarium conditions, particularly calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, salinity and temperature, for the best long-term colour and growth.
