Pink & Green Flecked Acan Lord Colony
The Pink & Green Flecked Acan Lord Colony is a stunning LPS coral featuring fleshy polyps with contrasting pink and green colouration. Each Colony develops its own unique pattern, creating an impressive splash of colour in the lower regions of a reef aquarium.
Now classified as Micromussa lordhowensis and still commonly known as an Acan Lord, this species is popular for its large, inflated polyps, relatively straightforward care requirements and excellent feeding response.

Aquarium Placement
Acan Lords perform best in lower-light areas of the reef, making them excellent for adding colour to sections of the aquarium where more light-demanding corals may struggle.
Avoid strong direct flow, as excessive current can prevent the large fleshy polyps from fully expanding.
Feeding
Although photosynthetic, Acan Lords respond extremely well to supplemental feeding and can show noticeably stronger growth when fed regularly.
Suitable foods include:
- Mysis shrimp
- Small LPS pellets
- Enriched brine shrimp
- Finely chopped marine foods
- Dedicated coral foods
Target feeding once or twice per week can help encourage healthy tissue growth and new polyp development.
Give It Some Space
Acan Lords can extend short sweeper tentacles, particularly at night, so allow several centimetres between the Colony and neighbouring corals.
With stable reef parameters, new polyps will gradually develop around the edge of the Colony, forming a larger colourful colony over time.
With its contrasting pink and green colouration, chunky fleshy polyps and manageable care requirements, the Pink & Green Flecked Acan Lord Colony is an excellent addition to mixed reef and LPS-focused aquariums.
Colour, pattern, polyp count and Colony size may vary between individual specimens.
