Aquarium Care
Platinum Ocellaris Clownfish are well suited to both reef aquariums and fish-only marine systems.
They can be kept individually or as a compatible pair and will often establish a favourite cave, coral or section of rockwork as their territory. Once established or paired, they may become more defensive of their chosen area.
Despite their famous association with anemones, a host anemone is not required to keep a Platinum Ocellaris healthy and happy in captivity.
Feeding
The Platinum Ocellaris is an omnivore and should be offered a varied marine diet including:
- Quality marine pellets
- Marine flakes
- Frozen mysis shrimp
- Enriched brine shrimp
- Finely chopped marine foods
- Other appropriately sized frozen foods
A varied diet and regular feeding will help maintain strong body condition, healthy growth and vibrant colouration.
Unique Designer Colouration
One of the biggest attractions of the Platinum Ocellaris is that every fish is slightly different. The amount of white coverage, orange colouration and individual markings can vary between specimens and may continue to develop as the fish grows.
Hardy, reef safe and packed with personality, the Ocellaris Platinum Clownfish is an outstanding feature fish for anyone wanting something more distinctive than a traditional orange Ocellaris.
As a designer clownfish, individual colour and pattern will vary from the fish pictured.
