A distinctive African catfish with warm golden colouration and bold bottom-dwelling character
The Nigrita Gold Synodontis Catfish is an attractive colour form of Synodontis nigrita, featuring a warm golden to yellow-brown body with darker spotting and markings. Its sturdy build, prominent barbels, and classic Synodontis shape give it plenty of character, making it an excellent choice for larger African or mixed tropical aquariums.
Hardy, active, and generally peaceful, Nigrita Gold Synodontis appreciate aquariums with caves, driftwood, rocks, and shaded areas where they can retreat during the day. They become more active during feeding and in lower light conditions, and their adaptable nature makes them suitable for a wide range of robust community setups.
