The Mohawk Discus is a striking selectively bred discus variety known for its dramatic appearance and standout finnage. Depending on the individual fish, colouration may include vivid red, orange, blue, or contrasting patterning, with the prominent dorsal fin helping create the characteristic “Mohawk” look.
Like other discus, Mohawk Discus require warm, stable, exceptionally clean water and a calm aquarium environment. They are peaceful, social fish that do best in groups and make an impressive centrepiece in dedicated discus or carefully selected warm-water community aquariums.
