Juwel Phorax M is a highly effective phosphate-removing filter media designed for compatible Juwel internal filtration systems. It helps bind and remove excess phosphate (PO₄) from aquarium water, helping reduce one of the key nutrients that can contribute to unwanted algae growth.
Phorax uses an aluminium-based mineral that binds dissolved phosphate into an insoluble form, removing it from the water column. It can bind up to 12mg of phosphate per gram of media, making it a strong option for aquariums where phosphate levels need active control.
