A peaceful schooling catfish with attractive spotted patterning and constant bottom-level activity
The Julii Corydora is a popular South American catfish recognised for its pale body covered in fine dark spots and markings. Its distinctive pattern, peaceful temperament, and active foraging behaviour make it an excellent addition to planted and community aquariums.
Julii Corydoras are highly social and should be kept in groups, where they will spend much of their time exploring the substrate together in search of food. A soft sand or smooth fine-gravel substrate is ideal to protect their delicate barbels, along with plenty of shaded areas, plants, and open space for foraging.
