A bright golden colour morph of the classic Serpae Tetra with bold contrast and active schooling behaviour
The Golden Serpae Tetra is a striking selectively bred colour form of the popular Serpae Tetra, featuring a pale golden to yellow body with warm orange-red tones through the fins. Its lighter body colour gives this variety a noticeably different appearance from the standard red Serpae while retaining the same energetic personality and schooling behaviour.
These active tetras are best kept in a good-sized group, where they become more confident and their natural social behaviour can be enjoyed. They suit planted community aquariums with plenty of open swimming space, although like standard Serpaes they can occasionally nip fins, so slow-moving or long-finned tank mates are best avoided.
