The Flagtail Prochilodus is an impressive large-growing freshwater fish known for its silver body, orange-red fins, and distinctive black-striped tail. Its streamlined shape and active swimming behaviour make it a standout species for large display aquariums with plenty of open space.

Flagtail Prochilodus are strong, active swimmers that appreciate excellent water quality, powerful filtration, and a spacious aquarium. They are generally peaceful with similarly sized fish but can become boisterous, so they are best kept with robust tank mates. As they mature, their size and activity level make them better suited to very large aquariums rather than standard community setups.
