Aquarium Placement
Elegance Coral generally performs best on the sandbed, where its fleshy tissue can expand without rubbing against sharp rockwork.
Provide gentle, indirect water movement. The tentacles should sway naturally rather than being pushed aggressively in one direction.
Avoid intense lighting when first introducing the coral and gradually acclimate it to your aquarium's lighting conditions.
Feeding
Although Elegance Coral receives much of its energy through photosynthesis, it can benefit from occasional target feeding.
Suitable foods include:
- Mysis shrimp
- Enriched brine shrimp
- LPS coral pellets
- Finely chopped marine seafood
- Other appropriately sized meaty coral foods
Feeding once or twice per week can help support strong tissue condition and growth.
Give It Plenty of Space
Elegance Coral can extend long sweeper tentacles capable of stinging neighbouring corals.
Allow at least 15 cm of clearance, and preferably more where possible, particularly once the coral is fully expanded.
