Aquarium Placement
Dragon Soul Favia performs best under low-to-moderate reef lighting with consistent indirect water movement.
Aim for enough flow to keep detritus from settling across the colony without blasting the fleshy polyps. Lower-to-middle placement generally provides the ideal balance of light and flow.
Because this is an established colony, allow plenty of room around it for continued growth.
Feeding
Although photosynthetic, Dragon Soul Favia benefits from occasional target feeding.
Suitable foods include:
- Mysis shrimp
- Enriched brine shrimp
- LPS coral pellets
- Finely chopped marine foods
- Quality coral preparations
Feeding tentacles are often most noticeable after lights out or when food is introduced to the aquarium.
Give It Space
Favia can extend sweeper tentacles capable of stinging neighbouring corals, particularly at night.
Allow several inches of clearance around the colony so it has enough room to expand without coming into contact with nearby livestock.

Alkalinity: 8–9 dKH
Stable salinity, temperature, magnesium and nutrient levels are also important for maintaining healthy tissue, colour and continued growth.
