Aquarium Peat 150g
Aquarium Peat 150g is a natural filter media used to help create softer, more acidic water conditions for freshwater aquariums.
When placed inside a suitable filter media bag or filter compartment, peat gradually releases natural tannins and humic substances into the water. This can help lower pH and carbonate hardness over time while creating the lightly tea-stained appearance commonly associated with blackwater environments.
It is particularly useful for aquariums housing species that naturally prefer soft, acidic water, including many tetras, rasboras, dwarf cichlids, discus and other South American or Southeast Asian fish.

Important Note
Peat can lower pH and alter water chemistry, so changes should be made gradually. We recommend monitoring pH and hardness when using peat, particularly in aquariums with low buffering capacity.
Peat may also give the aquarium water a natural amber or tea-coloured tint. This is normal and is often desirable in blackwater setups.
