A spectacular large predatory fish with pale silver-white colouration and unmistakable surface-swimming behaviour
The Albino Silver Arowana is a rare colour form of the classic Silver Arowana, displaying a pale white to silvery body with pinkish-red eyes and a metallic sheen through the scales. Its long, streamlined body, upward-facing mouth, and graceful swimming style make it an impressive centrepiece fish for very large freshwater aquariums.
Albino Silver Arowanas are powerful surface-dwelling predators that require an exceptionally spacious aquarium, strong filtration, and a tightly fitted lid, as they are excellent jumpers. They should only be kept with large, robust tank mates that cannot be swallowed and are best suited to experienced aquarists with the space to accommodate their substantial adult size.
